Dear Cupid,
Thank you for all the love you’ve given me in my lifetime. From passion and romance to tears, fears and questions, I am glad to have met you. I trust and believe in love as the spirit that guides us through life, through everything.
If we are are fortunate enough to live our life connected to other people’s spirits - to embrace all that is love, then we live a full life. If the people that surround us are full “givers” then there is nothing we can’t endure as part of a loving tribe.
As young children our first lesson of love sometimes comes in the form of a fairy tale - or the wish for a fairy tale to come to us. As we go through life oh Cupid, you change the rules from make believe to harsh reality. Then we learn.
We learn to embrace and endure the ebb and flow of love. Sometimes we dive right into the surf, other times we run in the opposite direction so the water won’t touch our feet. And yet other times we wait for the ocean to come to us with welcome arms, but it simply slips away.
Whether we choose to push or pull love, the essence of Cupid surrounds us every day. Especially today.
